Following the Jury’s verdict, last week Friday (15th May), at the Kingsley Burrell Inquest at Birmingham Coroners Court, which returned a damming narrative of “Neglect”.
This Kingsley Burrell Justice Campaign is hosting a Rally/Demonstration this Saturday 23rd May 2015, to demand Justice for Kingsley.
The details are as follows:
11.30am Assembly point: Birmingham cathedral, Colmore Row, city centre. B3 2QB In the park. Organise and assemble placards etc.
12.15pm We then take a 10 minute walk in Unity with the family together to Steel House Lane Police Station Birmingham B4 6NW for a rally until 2.30pm.
Now the truth is out about how Kingsley Burrell was brutally restrained, had a folded blanket placed over his head, subjected to excessive force by Police Officer’s and suffered a detrimental delay in the provision of adequate medical attention; his family are demanding:
1. The immediate suspension of the Police Officers that was responsible for restraining and beating Kingsley also for lying in court.
2. Misconduct in public office charges to be replaced again to all those that had contact with Kingsley following the damming narrative verdict of "Neglect".
3. The Home Secretary Theresa May orders a public inquiry into the death of Kingsley and the systemic failure of West Midlands police, Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Trust, the NHS and West Midlands Ambulance Service.
