During the day their stair well of which there are three, are occupied by youngster and particularly children from schools which are not in the area, that are getting up to no good.
Despite the complaints of residents this appears to be going unchallenged.
In the evening there older ones take over and it is then a den for drug dealing and use.
Clearly, a residential block with young parents and children being exposed to these elements is totally unacceptable.
Therefore, I have arranged to visit the block formally next week and conduct a block inspection with the residents, bringing back my days at Birmingham Housing Department.
Whilst appreciating that the Housing Department will be commencing a major refurbishment of Inkerman House, these issues require dealing with in a coordinated manner.
These construction in the 1960's were built to replace the slums and without effective and joined up action where next?
Well, be encouraged I am certain that together we will make a difference.
Do get in touch, I am here from "Everyone and not the chosen few".
