Having visited every street, maisonette block, multi story block and low rise block in Newtown; the constant complaint from residents is that the area is run down and covered in rubbish that is some cases were causing as horrible stench and in some cases rat infestation.
Residents a have felt isolated as they have had nowhere to turn in order to seek help. Clearly this is unsatisfactory and is just not good enough. Furthermore, the communal walkways have some very dangerous paving slabs which an84 years old lady advised me that she a loose slab almost caused her to fall.
The overgrown trees and their large roots are also damaging communal walkways require urgent attention.
The existing Councillors should have dealt with a lot of these issues, however, here's the big question what have they been doing and why are there so many unaddressed issues in Newtown.
It is clear to me that they are guilty of failing the people of Newtown and it is time for a fresh start. On Thursday 3rd May lets give Newtown a fresh start and clean it up in more ways than just one. Vote for Desmond Jaddoo who is "hear for everyone and not the chosen few".
