This is a real story of the fact that many organisations have been and gone, this Nursery which is faith based within the African and Caribbean Community and open to all is providing the love and care to young children today.
Passing the baton on is such a serious element for the continuation of the legacy that has been created to the point where I saw that surviving founder Hyacinth Anderson taking a back seat and enjoying the proceedings, with the utmost pride that the works that she played a part in commencing will live on.
That is the true and real mark of legacy and passing on the baton. This does actually show that as a Community we can do this if we apply ourselves with the basic principle of sharing our strengths in a collective manner in order to combat the flaws and weaknesses that we and others prefer to highlight.
This is a true example that with application we can really make a difference to the lives of our children, families and community.
