Today at Birmingham Crown Court the cross examination of PC Paul Adey commenced and concluded at Lunch time.
There were differing accounts and an admission that we may have got it wrong. Clearly, yet again at times his evidence differed from his notebook, to his IPCC statement and even the Coroner's Inquest.
Clearly, this has raised more questions rather than answers during the cross -examination by Michael Burrows QC.
PC Paul Greenfield then took the stand after lunch whose, evidence in chief was presented and his cross-examination commenced this afternoon and was very shaky at times and inconsistent and his admission was that he was not paying attention, despite Kingsley Burrell being in his custody and he actually had placed his own handcuffs on Mr Burrell.
Both Officers deny a head covering initially, however, having seen a; of the evidence that are starting to change their approach.
Tomorrow at some point it is expected that the third Police Officer, Mark Fannon will take the stand.
The case continues................
