With just over a week to go before your yes you are expected to play your part in the general Elections on May 7th by voting, it would appear that many are saying what is the point in voting when there is going to be a hung Parliament.
Spin is spin and reality and reality. We all live in a real world with real issues, which don't require dressing up any further. We know there is a difference in highlighting popular issues, which grab news headlines, such as a hung Parliament and Coalitions.
The issue is should you not vote then the possibility of a hung Parliament may well become an actual reality.
Opinion Polls are just that and is based on a small sample of the electorate. The main people you need to hear from are the Candidates as they are the ones that you will be effectively voting for.
We are well aware that many issues are not being talked about, however, unless we engage then these issues will never be on the agenda.
Someone told me yesterday " once they get our vote we never see them again, despite their promises", however, it is up to us to hold them to account, by ensuring that we invite our elected officials to public forums after the Elections and should they refuse to engage then we know what we can do at another Election, which will happen.
However, despite what the Opinion Polls say and despite the Political Commentators have to say, the final decision lies with you and you alone in the privacy of the election booth in a polling station on Thursday May 7th.
Just remember, those who believe they have all of the power are asking you to place them in office. Therefore, despite the spin you are able to see through it and do what is right for you and your families as the decision you make, will make a difference.
It's your vote, your power, your voice, use it and don't let the spin force you of the radar.
